Using Graphic Organizer for analyzing findings in Science grade 9th - Sunel (Science Dept.)

Teacher's Reflection: In this lesson students were able to differentiate between Dicot and Monocot plants for which I took them to the school garden and asked them to observe the plants. After getting back to the classroom I divided them into groups (4 in each group) and asked them to discuss their findings. Then they shared their learnings on the charts and were able find and list differences between both types of plants.
I found that it was very easy for me as a teacher to make them differentiate between two concepts by using Graphic Organizer.

PopCorn Reading Strategy : Suwasra

                             Topic: Reading My Balloon

Teacher : Mrs. Jyotika Sharma

Subject : English                                                                                                               Grade: 1st

Teachers Reflection : Aim of the lesson was that students will be able to make text to self connections with a story read aloud.
for reading I used the popcorn strategy. when I used this strategy, almost all of the students were concentrating at the time of the reading, because they did not know whether they could be the next person to read.  On the other hand, some students were distracting the reader, because they were signalling him to point at one of them to be the next reader.
I am working on how to stop those distractors from disturbing the class.

Enacting a role play - Sunel (English Dept.)

Teacher's reflection: The students were given different roles. They narrated the dialogues of their character. This helped the students to identify the elements of a play. Students were able to differentiate between how character dialogue is written in a story and a play. The concept of stage direction was also clear to the students.

Imagining the setting of the poem through drawing - Sunel (English Dept.)

Teacher's reflection: In this activity I used the visualizing strategy while teaching the poem "The Skylark". Students were able to imagine the setting of the poem through their drawings. I divided them into groups of 4 in which they were asked to identify the setting of the poem. One student from each group was drawing the characters of the poem and the setting of the poem and others were helping.
