Teacher's reflection: In this activity I used the visualizing strategy while teaching the poem "The Skylark". Students were able to imagine the setting of the poem through their drawings. I divided them into groups of 4 in which they were asked to identify the setting of the poem. One student from each group was drawing the characters of the poem and the setting of the poem and others were helping.

Two Questions: How can the teacher modify the groups or the lesson so that MORE kids can be engaged?
Can the teacher give roles to each kid in teh group for greater engagement?
Teacher's response: I had assigned roles but were not followed by the groups.
There are many things I would like to modify next time I use this strategy in my class.
1. Make sure enough resources are available,
2. Form group norms,
3. More clear instructions,
4. Posing some questions around which discussion and drawing will be done,
All your four points are valid and I am happy that you are reflecting on this!
Norms are SO important and it is up to the teacher to remind kids to follow them. I appreciate point # 4 because unless kids know exactly WHAT they are supposed to discuss, it may end up wasting some time.
