Topic: types of triangle class 5 math dep. BBN Pratapgarh

Students are able to recognise different types of triangle by identifying  difference in lengths of triangle . They develop a habit of self doing & analysing .They were doing work in group.                       Teacher's reflection : students are involved in hand & mind activity ,it was easy to control the class when  assign them different roles like time keeper ,leader ,resource manager etc. They are able to differentiate between types of triangle teacher :surabhi sharma

Thank you for posting this. Its great to see kids working together and using real objects in the math classroom!

It seems that you did some whole class teaching on the board and then the kids made different types of triangles using matchsticks.

My question to you is: How can you turn that lesson around so that kids actually DISCOVER that there are different types of triangles instead of you telling them first?

next time i'll try for giving them more opportunity to discover by giving more concrete experiences
